Shoutcast

The following was submitted by Tony Bates. I don't know whether it works because I don't use Shoutcast, but it's probably worth a try if you want to get around a listing on the Shoutcase server:

I was wanting to be able to post my IP address to my web site so users can connect to my Shoutcast server without listing it to the Shoutcast.com web page. From looking at the html source from the connect file I found the way to set the IP address and inserted the "<IPADDRESS>" and added ":8000" . I uploaded the file & ,ta-da, it worked.

Here are the instructions to set up the shoutcast playlist file to connect to a shoutcast server:

	Create a file and insert the following 3 lines: [playlist] NumberOfEntries=1 File1=http://<IPADDRESS>:8000
	Save the file as 'shoutcast.pls' (or whatever using the .pls or .m3u ext).
	Then, in DynamIP, change the entry Local File (in Setup\|Uploader) to 'shoutcast.pls' (or what ever you called it) and the entry Remote File to the same.
	Add a link on another page to the 'shoutcast.pls' file and users will be able to connect to your Shoutcase Server.
